2023 Realtime Test

Full participating members have the opportunity to register for one or both of the following realtime tests:

Remote: October 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM Pacific via Zoom and EV360. The remote test includes one month’s access to EV360 practice material, starting September 1.

In person: October 21, 2023, after the AGM at the Best Western Kelowna. No practice material is provided.

The remote exam costs more to administer as there are increased hard costs, such as paying for an EV360 software administrator and 30-day practice material access. Because this is the first year administering a remote RCR exam, your input will be incredibly valuable. Is the cost too prohibitive, or was the price worth the convenience? If remote testing is offered again in the future, is it better to have the practice material as an "opt-out" to give a lower price option, or is that part of the appeal of remote testing? We want to hear from you!

The board shall grant an RCR certificate to any full participating member who successfully completes 180 words per minute on five minutes of straight material at a level of 96% accuracy based on the National Court Reporting Association Certified Realtime Reporter testing criteria.  -BCSRA Bylaws
