BCSRA British Columbia Shorthand Reporters Association

BCSRA is a non-profit, member-funded, professional association serving British Columbia's court/realtime reporters, CART providers, and broadcast captioners. Its bylaws reflect support for and participation in CASST, the larger Canadian national association.

There are over 100 full participating members in BCSRA.

The history of BCSRA goes back to 1975.

The BCSRA History Little information is available to chronicle the beginning of court reporting in British Columbia and the creation of the BCSRA, but there are a few fragments. In 1996, retired reporter Brenda Pearson of Victoria wrote an article in the BCSRA Outlines quarterly publication, and it was used, with our gratitude.
